Tanzania boasts wide open plains, spectacular migrations across the Serengeti and the highest peak in Africa - Mount Kilimanjaro. Between June and October the game viewing is at its peak, but if you avoid the main rains from March to May, Tanzania is a country worthy of a visit throughout the year. In late January, as many as 2 million wildebeest gather in the southern Serengeti to calve.

Beach & Islands

Beach Islands

Bordered by no less than eight countries, Tanzania opens on the east to the magnificent beaches and warm waters of the Indian Ocean and the inviting islands of Zanzibar, Mafia and Pemba. The port city of Stone Town dominates the west coast with the winding passageways of the old city whilst Zanzibar's coastline offers some of the best beaches in the world.

Safari Lodges

With the Serengeti at your beckoning and the game teeming over the plains, Tanzania offers one of the most exhilarating safari experiences. Most of the lodges here provide accommodation on a full board basis with game drives and other game viewing activities being charged extra. Standard of accommodation and dining is good and service excellent.

In Tanzania tribes folk still hunt the plains where there is an abundance of game across the Serengeti. Tanzania is home to the Big 5 and the opportunites of seeing all, or most, of these majestic creatures on a Tanzania safari is highly probable.
